Philadelphia Union has announced the loan of forward Nelson Pierre to Vancouver Whitecaps FC II for the remainder of 2025. The move is pending the receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and work authorization.
Pierre, a Homegrown player, previously spent time on loan with Skövde AIK in January 2024, where he participated in three Svenska Cupen matches. Later that year, on August 14, he was recalled and then loaned to Charlotte Independence in the United Soccer League (USL), scoring one goal across nine appearances. Additionally, Pierre represented Haiti in the CONCACAF U20 Championship in July 2024, playing in all three matches.
Having graduated from YSC Academy, Pierre signed a Homegrown contract with Philadelphia Union on February 21, 2023. He became the club's 20th Homegrown player and played for Union II during the 2023 season. In that time, he recorded four goals and four assists over 28 appearances, including 15 starts.
