The University of Pennsylvania football team is set to face Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, this Saturday. After a series of home games, the Quakers will be on the road again as they seek their first Ivy League victory of the season.

Currently, Penn holds a record of 2-4 overall and 0-3 in the Ivy League following a recent loss to Yale. In contrast, Brown stands at 3-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play after securing a narrow win against Cornell last weekend. This positions Brown in a three-way tie for second place in the league standings.

The historical rivalry between Penn and Brown dates back to 1895. Although Brown has won the last two encounters, Penn leads the all-time series with 63 wins compared to Brown's 26 victories and two draws.

In their previous meeting in 2023, Penn nearly overcame a deficit but ultimately fell short with a final score of 30-26 at Franklin Field. The Quakers' performance was highlighted by Jared Richardson's receiving yards and Aidan Sayin's passing yards.

Last week, Penn suffered a defeat against Yale with a score of 31-10. Liam O'Brien stepped up as quarterback due to an injury to Aidan Sayin early in the game. O'Brien completed eight passes and scored one touchdown while rushing for significant yardage.

Brown aims to continue its pursuit of an Ivy League title after defeating Cornell with an impressive comeback victory led by quarterback Jake Willcox and kicker Christopher Maron.

The upcoming match will be available for viewing on ESPN+ and can also be followed through live radio broadcasts.
