A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, wide receivers for the Philadelphia Eagles, both had significant performances despite missing four games in the regular season. Brown achieved over 1,000 yards for the third consecutive year with a total of 1,079 yards. Smith recorded 833 yards and eight touchdowns. Both players contributed to the Eagles' victory in Super Bowl LIX and secured contract extensions last offseason through 2028 for Smith and 2029 for Brown.

Jahan Dotson joined the Eagles from the Commanders before Week 1. Though he only had 19 catches totaling 216 yards, his connection with quarterback Jalen Hurts improved as the season progressed. Dotson scored an opening touchdown against the Packers during the Wild Card Round and made a pivotal play in the Super Bowl.

Rookie Ainias Smith showed progress throughout his first year, scoring his initial career touchdown in Week 18. Another newcomer, Johnny Wilson, played in most of the games this season and is expected to be a valuable asset due to his height advantage in red-zone situations.

The team also signed Elijah Cooks and Danny Gray to reserve/future contracts. Cooks was undrafted out of San Jose State but played with the Jaguars previously. Gray, drafted by the 49ers in 2022, spent time on Philadelphia's practice squad this season.

Britain Covey will enter free agency as a restricted player after limited appearances due to injuries. Parris Campbell will be an unrestricted free agent after contributing six catches for 30 yards and a touchdown during his time with both active roster and practice squad positions.

A.J. Brown spoke highly of his relationship with DeVonta Smith: "We have a special group who cares about each other... we're like family." He emphasized their mutual support and competitive drive that fuels their success on the field.

At age 26, DeVonta Smith became Philadelphia's all-time leader in postseason receiving yards with a total of 595 yards over nine games. He also set a franchise record for most yards in a single playoff game with 148 against Tampa Bay on January 15, 2024.

The Eagles' receiving group remains young yet experienced. With A.J. Brown being just one year older than Smith at age 27, questions arise regarding whether they will incorporate older veterans or focus on drafting new talent moving forward.
