Philadelphia Union adds defender Neil Pierre on short-term agreement

Philadelphia Union has confirmed the addition of Neil Pierre to their roster under a short-term agreement. The player is expected to be available for the upcoming match against New York City FC.

According to the 2025 MLS Roster Rules and Regulations, off-roster Homegrown Players can only participate in MLS League Season matches as short-term call-ups. These players are allowed to feature in up to six matches each season. Eligibility criteria include being 21 years old or younger within the calendar year. As long as they adhere to the age limitation, players may continue as Off-Roster Homegrown players while remaining on their initial MLS contract.

The club formally announced, "Philadelphia Union sign defender Neil Pierre to a short-term agreement on April 12, 2025."

Pierre’s profile includes being a defender, standing at six feet five inches tall with a weight of 176 pounds. He was born on October 19, 2007, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and holds U.S. citizenship.
