Philadelphia Union continued their strong start to the 2025 Major League Soccer season with a 2-0 victory over New England Revolution. The match saw Tai Baribo score in the 76th minute, assisted by Kai Wagner, marking Baribo's sixth goal in three games. This achievement ties him with Ante Razov's record from 1999.

Jovan Lukic added a second goal during stoppage time, set up by substitute Indiana Vassilev. Goalkeeper Andre Blake secured his 79th career clean sheet with a crucial save against Maximiliano Urruti in the 69th minute.

The Union will return to Subaru Park for two home games starting next weekend against Nashville SC. The event will feature Dollar Dog Night and U-Serve Night presented by Bimbo Bakeries USA. The game is scheduled for March 16th at 2 PM and will be broadcast on FOX and MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

Head Coach Bradley Carnell fielded an unchanged Starting XI for the third consecutive match, a first since May 2023. The lineup included Andre Blake as goalkeeper, with Frankie Westfield and Kai Wagner as fullbacks, Olwethu Makhanya and Jakob Glesnes as centerbacks. Jovan Lukic, Danley Jean Jacques, Quinn Sullivan, and Daniel Gazdag formed the midfield while Mikael Uhre partnered with Tai Baribo upfront.

New England faced an early setback when striker Leo Campana left due to injury in the tenth minute, replaced by Maxi Urruti. Olwethu Makhanya created a promising chance midway through the first half but it went unconverted.

In the second half, Carnell introduced Bruno Damiani and Indiana Vassilev in place of Mikael Uhre and Quinn Sullivan at the 64-minute mark. Baribo broke the deadlock twelve minutes later with his goal from Wagner's assist.

As New England pressed for an equalizer late in stoppage time, Lukic capitalized on Vassilev's pass to seal Philadelphia’s win.
