On Saturday night, Philadelphia Union secured a victory against the New England Revolution with two notable achievements. Midfielder Jovan Lukic scored his first goal for the team during second-half stoppage time. The goal was assisted by Indiana Vassilev, and Lukic's shot from the edge of the 18-yard box found its way into the net after hitting the post. This goal helped maintain Philadelphia Union's unbeaten start to the season.

Lukic joined Philadelphia Union on February 5th from FK Spartak Subotica. He is the second Serbian player to represent the team, following Veljko Paunovic who played in 2011. During his time at FK Spartak Subotica in Serbia’s top league, Lukic scored two goals in 39 appearances over two seasons (2023-24), tying for third place on his team for goals during that period.
