On Saturday night, Philadelphia Union faced off against the New England Revolution in a match that saw two Independence Blue Cross Achievement Unlocks. Indiana Vassilev, who made his debut for the club just last week, recorded his first assist for the team during second-half stoppage time. Vassilev replaced Quinn Sullivan in the 64th minute and managed to find Jovan Lukic at the top of the box. Lukic's shot hit the post before finding its way into the net, securing three points for Philadelphia and extending their unbeaten start to the season.

Vassilev joined Philadelphia Union on February 21st from St. Louis CITY SC. The transfer involved $400,000 in 2025 General Allocation Money (GAM), $600,000 in 2026 GAM, and up to an additional $250,000 contingent on performance-based metrics. Additionally, St. Louis CITY SC will receive a future sell-on and trade percentage. In 2024, Vassilev achieved a career high with four goals across all competitions and was tied for second in assists with four at CITY SC while making 29 regular season appearances.
