A significant milestone was achieved during the opening whistle of the 2025 season when Philadelphia Union faced off against Orlando City SC. The match marked a special moment for midfielder Jovan Lukic, who made his debut in the starting lineup for the Boys in Blue.

Lukic, a 23-year-old from Serbia, played the entire match and successfully completed 37 out of 42 passes. He joined Philadelphia Union in early February through a permanent transfer from Serbian club FK Spartak Subotica. Lukic has signed a contract with the team that extends through 2026, with options to extend until 2027 and 2028.
