Kaitlyn Franzen, a 10-year-old player from Roxborough United's U10 Lightning team, has been named Musselman's Affiliate Player of the Month for March. This recognition comes as Kaitlyn completes her first year with the club.

Her coach praises her enthusiasm and commitment: "This is Kaitlyn's first year with Roxborough, and she has done a great job of jumping in with both feet. She hustles to make every play on the field and supports her teammates. Off the field, she cheers her team on, watches the game to figure out places to attack, and motivates her teammates on the sidelines. She has been a great addition to our club and the Lightning team!"

In an interview, Kaitlyn shared some personal insights. Her favorite professional soccer club is Real Madrid, while Trinity Rodman stands as her favorite player globally. Locally, she admires Tai Baribo from Union. Her favorite number is five, which coincidentally matches her shirt number.

Outside soccer, Kaitlyn enjoys running, playing piano, and writing short fictional stories. A self-proclaimed Swiftie, she's proud of learning Taylor Swift’s song “Champagne Problems” for a piano recital.

Reflecting on memorable moments in soccer, she recalls winning the VE Summer Soccer Splash Tournament in August 2024 as a highlight.

Looking ahead, Kaitlyn aspires to become both a professional soccer player and an author. In school life, Mrs. Geiger and Dr. Patterson are among her favorite teachers due to their positive influence and support.
