On Ed Snider Legacy Night at the Wells Fargo Center, the Philadelphia Flyers, led by John Tortorella, will face off against Pete DeBoer's Dallas Stars. The game is scheduled for Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on NBCSP with radio coverage on 97.5 The Fanatic and an online simulcast on Flyers Radio 24/7.

This match marks the first of two meetings this season between the Flyers and Stars, with a rematch set for March 22 at the American Airlines Center. For the Flyers, it begins the statistical second half of their 2024-25 season following recent losses to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Travis Konecny leads Philadelphia with 20 goals and 45 points, while Travis Sanheim heads their defense with 21 points. On Dallas' side, Matt Duchene tops their scoring chart with 38 points, while Thomas Harley has been notable for his defensive contributions.

The Flyers have shown strong play since the holiday break despite a mixed record of wins and losses. They aim to maintain this form against high-caliber opponents like Dallas as they continue through a challenging stretch in their schedule.

Rookie players Matvei Michkov of Philadelphia and Logan Stankoven of Dallas are both experiencing tougher opposition as teams adjust to their playing styles. Michkov remains second among NHL rookies in scoring but has struggled recently to find points consistently.

The Cates line—featuring Noah Cates, Tyson Foerster, and Bobby Brink—has been effective for Philadelphia both offensively and defensively over recent weeks. Their performance against top lines from opposing teams will be crucial in Thursday's game.

Philadelphia's power play has seen intermittent success but needs more consistent entries and setups to capitalize on opportunities effectively.

Dallas' veteran presence includes captain Jamie Benn who continues to lead by example even as younger stars like Jason Robertson take center stage in terms of offensive threats.
