The Philadelphia Flyers, under the leadership of John Tortorella, are set to face off against Jim Hiller's Los Angeles Kings in the second game of their California road trip. The match will take place at Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, with a scheduled start time of 9:00 p.m. EST. Fans can catch the action on NBCSP or listen to the radio broadcast on 97.5 The Fanatic and Flyers Radio 24/7.

This encounter marks the final meeting between these two teams for this season. In their previous matchup on December 19 at Wells Fargo Center, the Flyers suffered a 7-3 defeat. During that game, Anze Kopitar and Kevin Fiala each scored twice for the Kings, while Tyson Foerster netted two goals for Philadelphia.

In reflecting on their last meeting, it's noted that "lapses of structure, puck management and goalie play added up to an ugly result for the Flyers." To improve their performance against the Kings this time around, it is crucial for Philadelphia to address these issues.

Aleksei Kolosov is expected to be in goal for Sunday's game after Samuel Ersson's strong showing in Saturday's win over Anaheim. Previously against Los Angeles, Kolosov stopped only 20 out of 26 shots but had a promising start with ten saves in the first period.

Noah Cates aims to extend his current goal streak as he has scored in each of his last five games since facing Los Angeles earlier this month. His line with Tyson Foerster and Bobby Brink has been consistent throughout December.

Philadelphia continues its search for power play effectiveness after going scoreless during five opportunities against Anaheim. Their success rate stands at just 14.9 percent this season, ranking them near the bottom leaguewide.

On the opposing side, Anze Kopitar leads Los Angeles with 37 points so far this season while Adrian Kempe tops their goal-scoring chart with sixteen goals among thirty-three points overall.
