The Philadelphia Eagles have initiated the 21-day practice window for tight end Dallas Goedert, as announced on Wednesday. Goedert, who suffered a knee injury during a game against the Baltimore Ravens one month ago, was subsequently placed on the Injured Reserve list.
This season, Goedert has played in nine games, recording 38 catches for 441 yards and two touchdowns. Notably, he achieved a career milestone in Week 3 against the Saints with 10 receptions for 170 yards—the highest receiving yards by an Eagles tight end since Pete Retzlaff's performance in 1965.
Since taking over as the starting tight end in 2021, Goedert ranks sixth among NFL tight ends in receiving yards and third in yards per catch.
In Goedert's absence, Grant Calcaterra has stepped up as the starting tight end. This season, Calcaterra has set new personal records with 22 catches for 288 yards and one touchdown while playing significant snaps. His notable contribution includes a remarkable one-handed catch that gained 34 yards during a crucial third down in the recent victory over the Cowboys.
