The Philadelphia Flyers emerged victorious against the Anaheim Ducks with a 3-1 win at Honda Center, marking the start of their five-game road trip. The match remained competitive until the final minutes when the Flyers secured their lead.

The first period ended without any goals, with Anaheim leading in shots on goal, 10-7. Tyson Foerster had a close opportunity for the Flyers but did not score.

Cutter Gauthier's penalty for hooking Matvei Michkov at 7:30 gave the Flyers their first power play, but Alex Killorn had a shorthanded chance instead. Michkov later high-sticked Leo Carlsson at 10:25, granting Anaheim a power play where they managed one shot.

In the second period, both teams scored once. The period saw more fluid play and shots were tied at 12 each. Samuel Ersson made an important save against Frank Vatrano early in the period. Noah Cates extended his goal streak to five games by scoring from a pass by Bobby Brink at 4:03, with Cam York assisting as well.

Brink drew another power play opportunity when Radko Gudas held him at 7:07. Brett Leason had a shorthanded chance that was saved by Ersson. Troy Terry equalized for Anaheim at 15:38 with assists from Gudas and Jackson Lacombe.

Tyson Foerster took a slashing penalty shortly after, but Philadelphia successfully killed it off. In the third period, Morgan Frost scored his seventh goal of the season by banking a puck off goaltender Lukas Dostal for a 2-1 lead at 5:57, assisted by Scott Laughton.

Anaheim's Mason McTavish won an offensive zone faceoff cleanly against Ryan Poehling at 11:08, but Ersson managed to secure the loose puck. Drew Helleson's high stick on Sean Couturier led to another Flyers power play which they failed to convert.

A too-many-men penalty on Philadelphia created pressure late in the game as Anaheim pulled Dostal for an extra attacker. Joel Farabee capitalized on this by stealing from Olen Zellweger and scoring an unassisted empty-net goal at 17:40.

Ersson made crucial saves throughout and finished with 31 saves on 32 shots. Despite Dostal's efforts stopping 22 of 24 shots, Anaheim fell short.

Travis Konecny marked his milestone of playing in his 600th NHL regular season game while Bobby Brink played his 100th game.
