The University of Pennsylvania baseball team is set to face Saint Joseph's in the Liberty Bell Classic on Tuesday at Tommy Lasorda Field at Meiklejohn Stadium. The game begins at 3 p.m. Penn enters the matchup with an 8-9 record, having won seven consecutive games, including a sweep against Harvard. Saint Joseph's holds an 8-14 record after a series victory over Richmond.

The Quakers aim to advance in the Liberty Bell Classic, hoping for their first title in program history. A win would lead them to a semifinal match against either Delaware or Lafayette.

Penn and Saint Joseph's have faced each other 65 times since 1947, with Penn leading the series 34-30-1. The Quakers have won six of the last ten meetings but lost last season's game against the Hawks.

Penn has been on a winning streak, outscoring opponents significantly during this period. Their offense ranks high nationally and within the Ivy League in runs scored.

Key players include Gavin Collins, Ryan Taylor, and Davis Baker. Jarrett Pokrovsky leads with a .333 batting average and is on a ten-game hitting streak.

On the mound, freshman Sebastian Haggard has excelled with a 2-0 record and 2.86 ERA. Thomas Shurtleff and others have contributed effectively from the bullpen.

Saint Joseph's struggles on the road but has standout performances from players like Blake Primrose and pitcher Colton Book.

Tuesday’s game will be available for streaming on ESPN+ with live stats also provided online.
