Philadelphia Union esports competitor ThiagoCapo12 ended his eMLS season on Friday after being defeated in the quarterfinals of the eMLS Cup Final.

ThiagoCapo12 had a strong start with five wins, including an overtime victory, but went 2-2-2 on Thursday. This left him three points short of automatically qualifying for the league's major event. In a crucial match against CF Montreal's Loux11, Thiago overcame a 2-0 first-half deficit to win in extra time, securing the No. 5 seed and qualifying for the eMLS Cup for the third consecutive year.

In the quarterfinals of the 2025 eMLS Cup Final, Thiago faced New York City FC's Yuval. The match was closely contested with both sides creating multiple opportunities. However, Thiago's journey ended with a 3-2 loss as NYC scored the decisive goal.
