The Philadelphia Flyers are set to host the New Jersey Devils on Sunday afternoon at the Wells Fargo Center. The game, part of a seven-game homestand for the Flyers, will begin at 1:00 p.m. EDT and be broadcast on TNT/MAX and 97.5 The Fanatic.

This matchup marks the fourth and final meeting between these teams in the regular season. The Flyers won two of the previous encounters, while the Devils secured a victory in their last meeting with a decisive 5-0 win.

Both teams enter Sunday's game without recent victories. The Flyers have lost their last three games against Calgary Flames, Winnipeg Jets, and Seattle Kraken. Similarly, the Devils have suffered defeats against Vegas Golden Knights, Dallas Stars, and Winnipeg Jets.

Flyers' goaltender Ivan Fedotov is expected to start on Sunday after Samuel Ersson played in recent games. Fedotov's performance will be crucial as he aims to stop challenging shots effectively.

Devils' primary goaltender Jacob Markstrom has had a strong season but struggled in his last two starts. Backup Jake Allen recorded a shutout against the Flyers earlier this year.

The Flyers have experienced issues with their structure and transition game during their current losing streak. Their defensive lapses were evident in Saturday's loss to Seattle Kraken.

Rookie Matvei Michkov has been a standout player for Philadelphia, contributing significantly since returning from the 4 Nations break. His offensive skills will be vital for the Flyers as they seek to end their losing streak.

Coach John Tortorella may adjust line combinations if initial strategies do not yield results quickly on Sunday.

The Devils face challenges due to injuries to key players Jack Hughes and Dougie Hamilton but remain contenders for an automatic playoff spot in their division.
