The Philadelphia Flyers are set to face the Calgary Flames at the Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday. The game, which starts at 7:00 p.m. EST, will be broadcast on NBCSP and aired on 93.3 WMMR with an online simulcast available on Flyers Radio 24/7.

This matchup marks the second and final meeting of the season between these two teams. In their previous encounter in October, the Flames defeated the Flyers 6-3 in Calgary.

The Flyers come into this game following a strong performance in Winnipeg, where they secured a 2-1 shootout victory. Jamie Drysdale scored during regulation, while Matvei Michkov netted the decisive goal in the shootout.

A key storyline for this game is the January 30 trade between these teams. Former Flyers Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost will return to Philadelphia as members of the Flames, while Jakob Pelletier and Andrei Kuzmenko will face their former team for the first time since being traded to Philadelphia.

Kuzmenko has contributed three points in five games with his new team but had a potential goal disallowed against Pittsburgh due to a high stick ruling. Pelletier has been playing mostly fourth-line minutes for Philadelphia and recorded an assist in a recent win over Pittsburgh.

Frost has struggled offensively during Calgary's current road trip but managed two goals in his first six games with his new team. Farabee has faced similar challenges, scoring only once despite several opportunities.

The Flyers might have an advantage in terms of rest, having played fewer games recently compared to Calgary's compact schedule. However, both teams have shown resilience throughout their seasons.

Calgary's playstyle involves methodical pacing rather than speed, which could allow Philadelphia to capitalize if they maintain sound structure and pressure as seen in recent victories against Edmonton, Pittsburgh, and Winnipeg.

Special teams could also play a significant role in this matchup. The Flyers' penalty kill has been effective recently, while Calgary's power play ranks higher overall but has struggled at times this season.

In goal for Philadelphia is Ivan Fedotov, who delivered an impressive performance against Winnipeg by stopping 29 of 30 shots and excelling in the shootout. For Calgary, rookie goalie Dustin Wolf leads with solid stats despite recent offensive struggles from his team.
