To mark National Girls and Women in Sports Day, the Flyers are inviting young women interested in sports careers to apply for the Next Shift: Mentoring the Next Generation of Female Leaders program. This initiative is presented by Holman and aims to mentor aspiring female leaders in the sports industry.

Selected participants will receive an official working credential for the Flyers game against the Winnipeg Jets on March 6, along with four tickets to attend. They will also participate in a welcome reception to meet other program members and Flyers female leaders.

Blair Listino, Flyers Alternate Governor and Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for Comcast Spectacor, stated, "After receiving hundreds of applications and mentoring over 50 young women in the first two seasons of Next Shift, it's clear that there is a strong demand for this program as so many young women are deeply inspired by sports and eager to pursue careers in the industry." She added that "Next Shift has proven to be a highly successful initiative," helping mentees secure internships and full-time positions.

The Flyers continue their partnership with Holman, a global automotive services leader and certified women-owned business, offering participants a unique shadowing opportunity. Participants will gain insights into their mentors' roles during a Flyers gameday. The program aligns with Women's History Month celebrations and ongoing efforts to support female talent in sports administration.

Kristina Nicoles, Holman's Executive Vice President of Human Resources & Corporate Assets, commented, “As a women-owned business, our entire organization is incredibly proud to partner with the Flyers to support the next generation of female leaders through the Next Shift program.” She emphasized that this event provides an excellent chance for young women to learn from exceptional role models.

Since its inception in 2022, Next Shift has facilitated internships or full-time employment within various departments of the Flyers organization for several participants. These departments include communications, community relations, corporate partnerships, sales, special events, among others.

Applications close on February 14 at 11:59 P.M. ET. Selected candidates will be notified during the week of February 17. Further details can be found at https://www.nhl.com/flyers/community/next-shift
