The Eagles Autism Foundation, in partnership with KultureCity and the NFL, is set to host All Abilities Clinics during special Sensory Hours at the Super Bowl Experience. The event will take place at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans from 1-3 PM on Thursday, with over 450 attendees expected. The clinics will feature appearances by SWOOP and the Eagles Cheerleaders.
Ryan Hammond, Executive Director of Eagles Autism Foundation, emphasized the foundation's commitment to inclusion beyond Lincoln Financial Field: "The Eagles Autism Foundation, led by the vision of Jeffrey Lurie, to not only raise millions of dollars but to be able to be a model for inclusion, doesn't stop at Lincoln Financial Field."
Hammond also expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with long-standing partners: "We're very excited to partner with the NFL and KultureCity...to create a more inclusive experience for the autism community and others with sensory differences."
KultureCity will provide 1,200 sensory bags co-branded with Eagles Autism Foundation. Uma Srivastava, Executive Director of KultureCity, stated: "We are proud to partner with the Philadelphia Eagles to champion sensory accessibility inclusion at the Super Bowl."
Students from Tulane University and LSU will volunteer at the event after receiving virtual training from Board Certified Behavior Analysts of Eagles Autism Foundation. The clinics will include football stations such as wide receiver and quarterback drills and a cheer clinic led by Eagles Cheerleaders.
Two sensory rooms will be available onsite in Section 347 for Gate A Connector and Section 330 for Claiborne Market.
Eagles Autism Foundation recently announced funding for 53 projects specializing in autism research and care amounting to $8.1 million. Since its inception in 2018, it has funded 169 research projects and community grants.
Hammond highlighted local partnerships: "It just so happens that some of our community grants have affiliations in New Orleans...And we're excited to welcome the local community into the Eagles Autism Foundation family."
