Philadelphia Eagles Executive Vice President and General Manager Howie Roseman is known for his strategic foresight in building a successful football team. His efforts have led the Eagles to their third Super Bowl appearance in eight seasons, showcasing one of the youngest rosters in the league.

Roseman's planning began as early as the 2022 NFL Draft, where he focused on strengthening the defense by selecting defensive tackle Jordan Davis. The transition from veterans like Fletcher Cox and Jason Kelce was managed through earlier drafts with picks like Cam Jurgens and Jalen Carter.

Reflecting on his role, Roseman stated, "I know that the season really starts with the front office, and that starts with me." He emphasized the importance of flexibility and resources gained through recent drafts. "Those are the things I think about moving forward – how can we get more flexibility when you have a lot of good players deservedly so making a lot of money?"

The offseason leading up to 2024 saw significant acquisitions such as running back Saquon Barkley and linebacker Zack Baun. These moves have proven fruitful, contributing to the team's success this season. Barkley, in particular, is close to breaking Terrell Davis's record for most rushing yards in a single season (including playoffs). Roseman commented on Barkley's impact: "A huge, huge player and person for this team... And I would like to say he's exceeded expectations."

As the Eagles prepare to face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, Roseman remains focused on both immediate goals and future prospects. "Well, they're the best of the best," he said about facing strong opponents like the Chiefs. Despite challenges, Roseman's approach has positioned Philadelphia within reach of another championship victory.
