The Philadelphia Phillies are gearing up for their annual spring training, marked by the return of Phillies Truck Day on February 3. This event, presented by Citizens, involves front office staff loading essential items onto three 28-foot trailers. These will be transported to BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater, Florida, where the team holds its spring training.

Dan O’Rourke, Phillies Manager of Equipment & Umpire Services, expressed enthusiasm about the event: “Truck Day is always an exciting event, as it means we’re even closer to the start of Phillies baseball.” He added that thanks to Citizens, the equipment truck will feature special decorations for fans to enjoy during its 1,058-mile journey from Philadelphia.

Dan Fitzpatrick, President for Citizens’ Mid-Atlantic Region, shared his excitement: “We are thrilled to kick off another exciting season with the Phillies and help bring fans along the journey.” He highlighted the long-standing relationship between Citizens and the Phillies and mentioned that their Ballpark Bankers are eager to welcome fans back.

This year marks a significant milestone for the team as they celebrate their 21st anniversary at BayCare Ballpark and their 79th spring training in Clearwater.
