The Philadelphia Eagles are set to conclude their 2024 regular season with a game against the New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field. Scheduled for a 1 PM kickoff, this match holds significant importance for both players and coaches.

For many Eagles players, the game represents an opportunity to showcase their skills and hard work from the season. It's a chance to demonstrate their abilities not only to the Eagles but also to other teams across the league who will be reviewing game footage.

Quarterback Tanner McKee is expected to start in this game. In his NFL regular-season debut last week, McKee completed three of four passes for 54 yards and two touchdowns after replacing Kenny Pickett. As a sixth-round draft pick in 2023, McKee has shown promise during preseason games and now has the opportunity to prove himself against a Giants defense likely fielding its starters.

The Eagles aim to assess McKee's ability to handle various defensive looks, manage challenges, think through difficult situations, and effectively run Kellen Moore's offense. Every aspect of his performance will be scrutinized, from huddle management to communication on the field.

On offense, several players could see action alongside McKee. Wide receivers Ainias Smith and Johnny Wilson may play key roles. Other potential contributors include Fred Johnson at left tackle, Tyler Steen at guard, Jack Driscoll on the line of scrimmage, and rookie Trevor Keegan. Running back Will Shipley might participate if cleared following a concussion sustained against Washington.

Defensively, cornerback Eli Ricks will have an important role as he seeks more playing time after being part of last year's rotation. Tackle Thomas Booker is another player who could see significant action following his strong preseason performance. Linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr., eager for increased playing time, might also feature prominently.

Veteran defensive end Charles Harris is back on the practice squad but could be elevated for Sunday's game along with other practice squad members as allowed by league rules.

Overall, Sunday's matchup provides critical opportunities for individual players' career development while offering coaches insights into their roster's depth ahead of postseason play.
