Following Ben VanSumeren's knee injury, which led to his placement on Injured Reserve, the Eagles have signed fullback Khari Blasingame to their practice squad. The team made this move on Tuesday.
In a corresponding roster change, the Eagles released wide receiver John Ross from the practice squad.
Khari Blasingame is joining the Eagles after being released by the Chicago Bears on October 25. He was in his third season with the Bears and appeared in two games this season. Between 2022 and 2023, he played in 32 games.
Blasingame, who is 28 years old, started a career-high seven games for the Tennessee Titans in 2020. Standing at six feet tall and weighing 233 pounds, Blasingame entered the league as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Minnesota Vikings out of Vanderbilt in 2019.
