Philadelphia Union Academy's U-16 squad recovered from their initial group stage loss with a 2-0 win against Tampa Bay United at the 2025 Generation adidas Cup. The match took place on Sunday morning, offering a chance for the team to rebound in the competition.

The match saw John Ruf open the scoring with a controlled finish inside the post following a counter attack. Chuka Ebo extended the lead in the second half, securing the win and earning the team three points ahead of their group finale.

The U-16 team aims to make it to the knockout round in their upcoming match against Club America, set for Monday morning at 10 AM ET.
