As the 2025 NFL Draft approaches, the Philadelphia Eagles are fully prepared under the guidance of Executive Vice President and General Manager, Howie Roseman. The team holds eight total selections in the first five rounds, with the No. 32 overall pick in the first round. Patience remains a priority for the organization, as history has shown the draft's unpredictable nature.

"You have to be patient, one. You have to allow things to come to you," Roseman stated during a press conference with Head Coach Nick Sirianni. He further emphasized the importance of understanding the draft's strengths and spending considerable time evaluating potential selections.

Despite the challenge of trading up into the top 20 picks, Roseman is prepared to adapt as the draft unfolds. "Anything can happen," he noted, underlining the potential for mid-draft opportunities. Roseman has always valued aggression in drafting, balanced with the acceptance of inherent risks involved.

Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie shares this philosophy of taking risks, leading to the Eagles' consistent postseason appearances—19 times in his 31-season tenure—and two Super Bowl victories. The Eagles' current draft strategy lacks any explicit focus, suggesting they aim to capitalize on unexpected opportunities.

Reflecting on past drafts, Roseman recalled how patience in the 2024 NFL Draft allowed them to secure rising star Quinyon Mitchell. Similarly, in 2022, strategic trading yielded significant benefits, including key players like Jordan Davis and A.J. Brown.

Roseman acknowledged the role of luck in the draft process: "Luck plays a part in it, obviously." Ultimately, each team seeks players that align with their unique vision, striving to fortify their roster during this pivotal period.
