The Philadelphia Eagles have announced several changes to their coaching staff for the upcoming 2025 season. The team has made two promotions and added five new members to Head Coach Nick Sirianni's staff.
Kevin Patullo has been named the new offensive coordinator, a move first revealed on February 19. With his new role, Patullo is entering his fifth season with the Eagles and his 16th in the NFL. Since 2021, he has held the position of passing game coordinator, and in 2023, he also took on the role of associate head coach.
Tyler Yelk has been promoted to defensive assistant. Yelk was previously the head coach of quality control in 2024 and served as assistant to the head coach in 2023. During the 2024 season, Yelk was part of a coaching team that led the Eagles to an NFL-record-tying 18 wins, culminating in a Super Bowl LIX victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. The Eagles excelled in various defensive metrics during that season.
The Eagles have also hired several new coaches. Parks Frazier joins as the Passing Game Coordinator, coming from the Miami Dolphins where he worked as an offensive assistant. Scot Loeffler brings nearly 30 years of collegiate coaching experience to his new position as the Quarterbacks Coach. He worked as the head coach at Bowling Green from 2019 to 2024. Greg Austin returns to the Eagles as Assistant Offensive Line Coach after spending two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Montgomery VanGorder, previously an offensive quality control coach at Georgia, enters the NFL for the first time, taking up the same position for the Eagles. During his time at Georgia, VanGorder was part of a dominant college football program. Cole Peterson has been appointed as Assistant to the Head Coach. Before joining the Eagles, Peterson was the executive director of football operations at UAB.
These coaching changes are expected to shape the Eagles' strategies and performance in the 2025 NFL season.
