Philadelphia Union will host German Bundesliga team Eintracht Frankfurt in an international friendly match at Subaru Park on August 2. The match, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET, is one of three bonus games included in the Union Full Season Ticket Members' packages. Tickets are available to the general public starting today.

Ernst Tanner, Sporting Director of Philadelphia Union, expressed enthusiasm about welcoming Eintracht Frankfurt back to Philadelphia as part of their training camp. "As sister cities, this match represents our ongoing commitment to collaboration and global partnership," he stated.

Eintracht Frankfurt's Sports Director Markus Krösche emphasized the importance of preparing for the new season during their summer training camp in the U.S., aligning with their internationalization strategy. "The motto 'Building bridges' is more relevant than ever," Krösche noted.

Timmo Hardung, another Sporting Director from Eintracht Frankfurt, highlighted the positive experiences from last year's training camp and looked forward to returning to Louisville and Philadelphia. He mentioned that both cities provide ideal settings for their upcoming summer preparation.

The connection between Philadelphia Union and Eintracht Frankfurt has been strengthened over a decade as sister cities since 2015. The two clubs previously met in a friendly in 2018, where Philadelphia secured a victory.

Eintracht Frankfurt currently holds fourth place in Germany's Bundesliga and has reached the UEFA Europa League quarterfinals against Tottenham Hotspur F.C., set for April 10.

The Union will resume MLS play on March 29 against Inter Miami CF at Chase Stadium.
