Philadelphia Union is set to face off against Inter Miami CF this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The match will be broadcasted on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV. The Union travels to South Florida following a recent 1-0 victory over St. Louis CITY, a win that propelled them to the top of the Eastern Conference standings. They currently hold four wins, one loss, and a total of 12 points.

Meanwhile, Inter Miami is trailing by just two points with three wins and a draw, having played one game less. The upcoming match could be decisive for securing the first place in the standings.

The last encounter between Philadelphia Union and Inter Miami was six months ago, resulting in a 3-1 victory for Miami. Goals from Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez secured their win after an initial goal by Mikael Uhre for the Union.

Bradley Carnell, Philadelphia Union's Head Coach, is not dwelling on past results. "I'm not looking to see how the results were last year or previously," he said. "I just focus on our group right now and seeing what type of games we're putting teams in."

Lionel Messi's participation remains uncertain due to a recent low-grade adductor muscle injury, yet Miami's lineup continues to feature prominent talents such as Suarez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets. The team's new recruits, like Telasco Segovia and Tadeo Allende, have also made significant contributions this season.

Carnell recognizes the challenge of facing Inter Miami, especially with or without Messi. "I've been saying this week, you have to pick your poison," he noted.

On the Union side, except for Jesus Bueno who will join the team in Miami, all players have returned from international duties. Carnell emphasized the importance of internal competition for spots on the team. "This week has been nothing short of really good, focused, and professional," he said.

Overall, both teams are prepared for a competitive match, with crucial decisions ahead for the coaches regarding player selections and tactics.
