The University of Pennsylvania's baseball team ended their series against Dartmouth on a strong note, securing a 5-1 victory at Trinity College's Murren Family Field. Senior co-captain Will Tobin played a pivotal role by allowing no hits in the first five innings. Tobin's overall performance included seven innings where he conceded only two hits and one run. This marked his first victory of the 2025 season, bringing the Quakers to a 9-12 overall record and 4-2 in the Ivy League. Dartmouth's record fell to 2-14, 2-4 in Ivy play.

Tobin began impressively, retiring Dartmouth hitters in the opening frame and securing two strikeouts in the second inning. Pennsylvania made their first offensive move in the third inning when Nick O'Brien hit a single, followed by a walk to Gavin Collins, and a run-scoring single by Jarrett Pokrovsky. O'Brien's performance was notable as he was the sole Quaker to have multiple hits in the game.

The game was tied at 1-1 in the sixth inning after Dartmouth's Robert Puig reached third and scored on a sacrifice bunt. Pennsylvania, however, regained the lead in the seventh via a double by Collins that brought in Nick Spaventa. Tobin continued to display dominance in the seventh inning and was replaced by Thomas Shurtleff in the eighth. Shurtleff maintained the momentum by pitching two innings without allowing any runs.

Pennsylvania increased their advantage in the eighth inning with three more runs, including contributions from Spaventa, O'Brien, and Davis Baker. Shurtleff completed the pitching task by keeping Dartmouth silent in the ninth inning to close the game.

Next, Pennsylvania is set to conclude their Liberty Bell Classic series against Lafayette at Tommy Lasorda Field, with the game scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN+.
