Patricia Loeber, a registered nurse at TUH-Main Campus, has been recognized with the DAISY Award for her exceptional service on the 4 East Unit. This accolade highlights her dedication to patient care and her efforts to ensure comfort and security for those she attends.

A former patient nominated Loeber, expressing gratitude for her attentive care: “This nurse went above and beyond to ensure I felt safe, comfortable, and had everything I needed. A simple deed of helping me wash my hair when I felt down, a small favor of heating my tea, and getting me the meds I needed in a timely manner. She is on top of her game and never failed to deliver on her promises. Although I didn’t require a lot of meds or check-ins, she always made sure to see me every hour or so to see if I needed anything at all. She made me feel safe and confident, and helped encourage an overall feeling of wellness during my long stay.”

The DAISY Award was created in memory of J. Patrick Barnes by his family after he passed away from an autoimmune disease. The Barnes family established this international award as a gesture of appreciation for nurses' clinical skills, caring nature, and compassion.
