The Eagles have secured another tight end by reaching an agreement with Kylen Granson on a one-year contract. This decision was finalized on Monday.
Granson, initially drafted in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts, has accumulated 86 receptions for 958 yards and one touchdown over 62 regular-season games, including 17 starts throughout his four-year NFL career.
Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 242 pounds, Granson was recognized as one of the top blocking tight ends last season according to Pro Football Focus.
At the beginning of the upcoming NFL season in 2025, Granson will be 27 years old. During his tenure with the Colts, he established a non-profit organization named KG's Kids aimed at promoting literacy in underserved communities.
Granson began his college football journey at Rice University before transferring to Southern Methodist University (SMU). Over his college career spanning 39 games, he achieved 129 catches for 1,879 yards and scored 16 touchdowns. Notably, his record of 14 touchdowns at SMU set a new benchmark for tight ends at the school.
