Lane Johnson, the Philadelphia Eagles' All-Pro right tackle, has agreed to a one-year contract extension with the team. This extension will keep him with the Eagles through the 2027 season. Johnson, a prominent figure in his position, is known for his achievements as a five-time All-Pro and six-time Pro Bowl selection. He has also contributed to two Super Bowl victories for the Eagles.

Johnson was initially drafted in the first round in 2013 and has since been an essential part of Philadelphia's offensive line. His performance during the 2024 season was particularly notable as he led NFL right tackles in several key metrics, including pass-blocking grade and pressure percentage.

The Eagles' offense had a successful 2024 season, highlighted by running back Saquon Barkley's historic rushing achievements and record-breaking postseason performances. The team scored an NFL-record 145 points in the playoffs, culminating in a Super Bowl LIX victory over Kansas City.

With Johnson's extension, along with other key players like Jordan Mailata and Landon Dickerson signed through 2028, the Eagles aim to maintain their strong offensive line for future seasons.
