In a recent press conference, Kenyon Green expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Philadelphia Eagles. The new offensive lineman shared his feelings with reporters, stating he is "extremely excited and blessed" to be part of the team. During his introduction, Green acknowledged that he prefers to let his performance speak for itself.
Reflecting on his initial visit with the Eagles prior to the 2022 NFL Draft, Green remarked on the team's culture. "The culture here is just unbelievable," he said. "I'm just excited seeing that they're excited that I'm here. It's time to work."
Green's career at Texas A&M showcased his skills as a versatile player who started at four different positions on the offensive line. He earned first-team AP All-America honors in 2021 and was recognized as the team's Offensive MVP and recipient of the Aggies' Leadership Award.
Drafted by the Houston Texans as the 15th overall pick, Green faced challenges due to shoulder injuries which affected his early professional career. Despite these setbacks, he remains optimistic about his future with the Eagles after being traded to Philadelphia.
Green sees this move as a "breath of fresh air" and looks forward to working under Run Game Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach Jeff Stoutland. He noted Stoutland's reputation for developing players who have struggled to reach their potential in the NFL. "I know that he loves his players and that he loves to coach," Green said of Stoutland. "I'm going to give him everything that I have."
Drawing inspiration from Mekhi Becton's success under Stoutland last season, Green is committed to putting in hard work to rejuvenate his career. "I'm just here to do my job and wherever the cards lay, it's what it is," he stated.
Green's dedication and eagerness suggest a promising chapter ahead with the Philadelphia Eagles.
