Temple Faculty Physicians has introduced the TFP C.A.R.E.S. Award to honor the exceptional contributions of its clinical and administrative staff. The award aims to foster a culture of appreciation by celebrating team members who exemplify compassion, advocacy, respect, excellence, and service. These values not only improve patient care but also enhance teamwork and morale within the organization.

The inaugural recipients of this award are Richard “Rich” Hernandez, a Receptionist/Scheduler from the Department of Otolaryngology, and Shaquanna Jordan, a Medical Assistant from the TFP MA Float Pool. Both were nominated by their peers and endorsed by TFP leadership for their significant contributions in January 2025.

Richard Hernandez is recognized for his positive attitude and dedication to patients and colleagues. An excerpt from his nomination highlights his professionalism: “Rich is an exceptional team player who consistently goes above and beyond for his colleagues, patients, and superiors... His unwavering work ethic, leadership, and commitment to service... showcases his remarkable dedication.”

Shaquanna Jordan's nomination emphasizes her adaptability and commitment to high-quality patient care. Her nomination reads: “Shaquanna consistently receives praise from providers and managers across various departments within TFP for her exceptional work ethic... Shaquanna’s positive impact is felt across all the teams she works with.”

Both individuals have made notable impacts on their teams and patients at Temple Faculty Physicians.
