Andre Blake, the Philadelphia Union goalkeeper, reached a significant milestone by making his 300th career appearance for the club. This achievement was marked during the team's 2025 season opener against Orlando City SC, where Blake started in goal. He is now the first player in the history of the club to reach this number of appearances.
Blake's career with Philadelphia began when he was called first at the 2014 MLS SuperDraft. Over more than a decade, he has become a key figure for the team. Known for his impressive performances, Blake has inspired phrases like "Saves By Dre" and "Brick Wall Blake." His accolades include four MLS All-Star appearances—a record for the team—and three MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Awards, making him the first player in MLS history to achieve this feat.
Throughout his time with Philadelphia Union, Blake has accumulated 731 saves over nearly 22,000 minutes of regular season play and achieved 97 clean sheets.
