With the 2025 baseball season approaching, the University of Pennsylvania's baseball team has been ranked second in the Ivy League preseason poll. The announcement was made on Tuesday morning.

The Quakers received 101 voting points, placing them behind Columbia, which emerged as the unanimous favorite with 128 points and all 16 first-place votes.

Cornell, which was last season's Ivy League Tournament runner-up, secured third place with 88 points. Princeton followed in fourth place with 80 points. Yale was ranked fifth with 69 points, Harvard sixth with 59 points, Dartmouth seventh with 30 points, and Brown completed the list in eighth place with 21 points.

In 2024, Penn clinched its second consecutive Ivy League Tournament title after advancing through the loser's bracket to defeat Princeton once and Cornell twice in the Championship Series. This victory earned them a spot in their second straight NCAA Regional. However, they were defeated by Virginia and St. John's during their time in Charlottesville.

Over the past three seasons, Penn has either shared or won outright both the Ivy League regular season title and the Ivy League Tournament title. As they enter this new season, most of last year's starting lineup will return while new players are anticipated to join the pitching staff.

Penn is set to begin their season this weekend at No. 9 Florida State for a three-game series from Friday to Sunday. The first game will start at 5 p.m. on Friday night in Tallahassee. All games will be available for live streaming via ACC Network Extra and ESPN+.
