The Philadelphia Eagles have extended a special gesture to one of their oldest fans, 102-year-old Eloise Brown, by providing her with tickets to Super Bowl LIX. The team surprised Brown, who celebrated her birthday at the NFC East Division-clinching game against the Dallas Cowboys on December 29, with this gift as they seek good luck for the big game.
Brown's dedication to the Eagles was recognized earlier when she received a custom-made No. 102 jersey from Team President Don Smolenski during a meeting where she interacted with players and Head Coach Nick Sirianni. Smolenski shared his thoughts on Brown's journey and passion for the team: "She was happy, smiling. It just makes you take a step back and think about how she was born in 1922. She lived through the Great Depression, World War II. I mean, so much, right, and what helps keep her going is the Philadelphia Eagles."
Reflecting on his role within the organization and community interactions, Smolenski added: "I have the privilege to serve in a capacity to represent the organization all throughout the community across Eagles fans everywhere. The opportunity to share in the experience is what makes going to the Super Bowl special."
Upon arriving in New Orleans as a guest of honor on Friday, Eloise Brown was greeted by wide receiver A.J. Brown at the team's hotel. He presented her with an autographed Kelly Green No. 11 jersey bearing their shared surname.
Eloise Brown attributes her longevity to family, faith, and football – three elements that will come together as she watches her beloved Eagles compete in Super Bowl LIX.
