Ahead of Super Bowl LIX, PhiladelphiaEagles.com is engaging with several assistant coaches to discuss key moments and players contributing to the team's success. Defensive Ends/Outside Linebackers Coach Jeremiah Washburn recently shared insights into the dynamics within his group, emphasizing the blend of veteran experience and youthful energy.
When asked about his daily message to the team, Washburn credits Brandon Graham for inspiration: "I stole it from BG (Brandon Graham). Be you. Be the guy that's been the same guy for the last 20 weeks, so be you."
Washburn highlighted Nolan Smith's significant progress from his first year to his second: "Just the detail of the game, he's really taken that to heart. And just kind of taking something from every vet that he's been around, he's taken a little something from each guy and put that in his game and put it all together."
Discussing how veterans and younger players have meshed this season, Washburn expressed satisfaction: "It's been great. It's generational with BG (Brandon Graham) to Sweaty (Josh Sweat) to (Bryce) Huff to Nolan to Jalyx (Hunt) and our other younger guys. They get along great and it's been a lot of fun to have that variance in our group."
