Registration is now open for the 15th annual Phillies Charities 5K, set to take place on March 23 at Citizens Bank Park. The event is presented by Fox Chase Cancer Center and fans are encouraged to register early, as last year's event reached capacity.

"The Phillies Charities 5K is always a fun event, as thousands of fans show their excitement for the start of the season as they race around the ballpark," said Phillies Director of Community Initiatives Mary Ann Moyer. "Since the first event was held nearly 15 years ago, more than 75,000 runners have crossed the finish line, all to benefit charity."

The run covers a distance of 3.1 miles, beginning and ending at the ballpark. Participants can expect surprises along the route, live music, and appearances by the Phanatic, Phillies alumni, and Phillies Ballgirls. After completing the race, runners can enjoy a cool down lap on the field's warning track at Citizens Bank Park if weather permits.

The Phillies Charities 5K is organized in partnership with several sponsors including Chick-fil-A Philadelphia, Coca-Cola, GHOST Energy, Independence Blue Cross, J & J Snack Foods, Johnson Controls, Navy Yard, NovaCare, RE/MAX, The GIANT Company and Toyota.

Participants will receive various items upon registration. Additionally, select April games will be available for participants to choose from in early March. This offer includes an option to purchase additional game tickets based on availability while supplies last. Redemption details will be sent via email with all tickets delivered through mobile via the MLB Ballpark app.

The entry fee for participating in the Phillies Charities 5K is $55 per person. Net proceeds from this event will support Phillies Charities Inc. Registrants must be at least 13 years old to participate. For registration and further information visit www.phillies.com/5k.
