In the final game of their five-game homestand, the Philadelphia Flyers will face off against the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday evening at Wells Fargo Center. The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. EST.

This matchup marks the first of two meetings between these inter-conference teams this season, with a rematch set for January 2 at T-Mobile Arena.

The Flyers come into this game after a 3-2 overtime victory against the Chicago Blackhawks. Key players in that win included Sean Couturier and Noah Cates, who scored third-period goals to level the score, followed by Matvei Michkov's power-play goal in overtime securing the win. Rookie goaltender Aleksei Kolosov recorded his first NHL victory.

Travis Konecny played a crucial role in Saturday's game, assisting Michkov's winning goal. Konecny currently leads the Flyers with 25 points (11 goals, 14 assists) over 21 games and has scored points in eight of his last nine games.

With starting goaltender Samuel Ersson on Injured Reserve, both Kolosov and Ivan Fedotov are expected to share responsibilities during this busy period for the Flyers. Fedotov has a record of 3-4-0 with a 3.69 goals-against average (GAA), while Kolosov stands at 1-4-0 with a GAA of 3.34.

The Flyers are focusing on minimizing turnovers following their recent loss to Carolina, where giveaways contributed significantly to their defeat. Against Vegas, maintaining possession will be key due to the physical style employed by the Golden Knights.

Monday's game will also highlight special teams' performances. The Golden Knights possess one of the NHL’s most effective power plays at a success rate of 29.6 percent, while the Flyers have one of the top penalty kills at an efficiency rate of 86.8 percent.

The Golden Knights are currently navigating through a five-game road trip and have shown resilience after starting with a loss against Toronto but rebounding with wins over Ottawa and Montreal. Jack Eichel leads Vegas with 32 points (7 goals, 25 assists), supported by Ivan Barbashev and veteran Mark Stone among others.

In goal for Vegas, Adin Hill has started most games with a record of 9-4-1, while Ilya Samsonov has also seen action between the pipes.
