The Philadelphia Flyers secured a 5-4 overtime victory against the Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre. The team overcame a two-goal deficit in the third period, with Matvei Michkov scoring the decisive goal from a severe angle at 4:05 of sudden death.

Ivan Fedotov played a crucial role in the Flyers' win, making 32 saves and benefiting from 29 blocked shots by his teammates. Travis Sanheim contributed significantly with a goal and two assists, while Travis Konecny, Anthony Richard, and Bobby Brink each added a goal and an assist.

The Flyers matched a team record with four consecutive games going to overtime. They have achieved three wins and one loss in this stretch, including Thursday's victory.

Fedotov made 13 saves in the first period, leading to a 1-1 tie after twenty minutes. The Flyers initially took the lead when Noah Cates won a board battle that led to Travis Sanheim scoring his fourth goal of the season.

Brady Tkachuk equalized for Ottawa following a turnover by the Flyers. The Senators dominated much of the second period but went into the third tied at 2-2 due to Fedotov's efforts and timely scoring by Konecny.

Ottawa broke through on their power play in the second period as Drake Batherson scored with assists from Tim Stutzle and Jake Sanderson. However, Konecny tied it again before John Norris gave Ottawa another lead early in the third period.

Adam Gaudette extended Ottawa's lead to 4-2 before Richard cut it back to one with help from Brink and Egor Zamula. Brink then leveled it at 4-4 after deflecting Richard's shot into the net.

In overtime, Michkov sealed the win for Philadelphia after receiving an assist from Konecny. Despite allowing four goals on 36 shots, Fedotov's performance was vital for securing victory. Linus Ullmark allowed five goals on just 19 shots for Ottawa.

The Flyers failed to score on their two power plays while Ottawa capitalized twice out of six opportunities.
