A thrilling comeback by the Philadelphia Flyers resulted in a 5-4 overtime victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Wells Fargo Center. Owen Tippett was instrumental, achieving a career-high four-point game, including the decisive goal and three assists.

Morgan Frost contributed two goals for Philadelphia. Noah Cates continued his scoring streak with a goal and set up Tippett's game-winner. Tyson Foerster scored late in the third period to tie the game and also assisted earlier, while Travis Konecny provided two assists.

The win brought the Flyers' season record to 15-15-4, ending their three-game losing streak. The first period saw the Flyers outshooting Columbus but trailing due to a turnover that led to a Blue Jackets goal by Mathieu Olivier.

In the second period, Columbus extended their lead with Mikael Yyhtia scoring after another Flyers' error. An apparent goal by Olle Lycksell was overturned upon review for offside.

The third period began with failed power plays from both teams until Frost narrowed Columbus's lead following an assist from Tippett. Cates then equalized for Philadelphia before Kirill Marchenko put Columbus back ahead.

Frost tied it again shortly after with his second goal of the night, assisted by Tippett and Konecny. A late defensive lapse allowed Jake Christensen to score for Columbus, but Foerster equalized once more before regulation ended.

In overtime, Cates intercepted an attempted clearance by Elvis Merzlikins and passed to Tippett who secured victory with a backhand shot. Samuel Ersson made 21 saves on 25 shots for Philadelphia while Merzlikins stopped 25 of 30 shots for Columbus.

Philadelphia struggled on special teams going 0-for-3 on power plays but succeeded in penalty killing during this matchup.
