The Philadelphia Eagles have embarked on a new season with a renewed focus following their early playoff exit last year. The team has been actively reshaping its roster since the end of the 2023 campaign, which concluded with a loss in Tampa. This offseason, they aimed to address areas of improvement through free agency and the NFL Draft.

Executive Vice President/General Manager Howie Roseman highlighted the team's strategy: "We wanted to have a 'mentality' offseason," he stated after the draft at NovaCare Complex. The Eagles made nine draft picks and executed eight trades, securing additional selections for 2025. Roseman emphasized their desire to bring in players with determination, saying, "We wanted to bring in people here who had a chip on their shoulder."

The organization has demonstrated an ability to navigate salary cap constraints while making strategic moves during the NFL Draft. They focused on acquiring high-character players who fit their needs. Five out of nine draft picks were marked as personal favorites by the personnel team.

Head Coach Nick Sirianni expressed optimism about the upcoming season: "I just think everybody is, 'Hey, we're starting again,'" he said. He acknowledged last year's disappointing finish but stressed daily improvement as key to success.

As they prepare for their first game against Green Bay in Brazil on September 6, the Eagles are working towards developing their roster and integrating new coaching staff members. With competition expected within an improved NFC East division, the team remains committed to achieving its goals one step at a time.
