One of the nation's top college baseball players, Wyatt Henseler, a senior third baseman from the University of Pennsylvania, has been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-America third team. This recognition marks his second appearance on the third team, having first been honored in 2022.

The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. I All-America teams have been recognizing outstanding college baseball players since 1949. These selections are made by the ABCA All-America & Coach of the Year committee.

Earlier this week, Henseler also received first-team All-East Region honors from the association. He joins pitcher Craig Connolly (1989-90) as only the second Penn student-athlete to receive two career ABCA All-America honors in over three decades. First baseman Rich Lombardi was Penn's first player recognized by the ABCA in 1984.

Henseler was unanimously named Ivy League Player of the Year and earned a first-team All-Ivy selection for his performance during the 2024 season. As co-captain, he played a crucial role in leading Penn to its second consecutive Ivy League Tournament title and an NCAA Regional appearance. In these tournaments, he was named Most Outstanding Player after achieving a .375 batting average with three home runs and ten RBIs across five games.

Throughout 49 games this season, Henseler led his team in several statistical categories: batting average (.360), runs (64), hits (72), home runs (22), RBIs (56), total bases (151), slugging percentage (.755), hit-by-pitches (14), and on-base percentage (.465). Within Ivy League play specifically, he topped conference charts in batting average (.438), slugging percentage (.913), on-base percentage (.566), OPS (1.479), runs scored (31), and home runs hit (10).

Concluding an impressive career with Penn's Quakers, Henseler holds multiple program records including all-time career hits (232) and RBIs (189). He also set new single-season records for at bats and several hitting statistics over his tenure.

In addition to these accolades within his conference, Henseler was recently recognized as ECAC Player of the Year.
