The University of Pennsylvania baseball team, seeded fourth, secured a spot in the winner's bracket by defeating top-seeded Columbia 8-4 in the Ivy League Tournament at Robertson Field at Satow Stadium. The Quakers will face third-seeded Cornell on Saturday after Cornell's earlier victory over Princeton. Columbia will play an elimination game against Princeton.

Penn improved its record to 4-0 in Ivy League Tournament games, having defeated Columbia in consecutive tournament openers. Notably, seven of Penn's eight runs were scored with two outs. Five players achieved multi-hit games, with freshman Gavin Collins leading with three hits.

Wyatt Henseler hit his 20th home run of the season, becoming the first player in program history to reach this milestone within a single season. He is close to tying the Ivy League's single-season home run record set by Princeton's Kyle Vinci last year.

Cole Zaffiro pitched four no-hit innings before allowing four earned runs in the fifth inning but ended up with a no decision after striking out nine batters over six innings. Carson Ozmer took over pitching duties and earned the win by delivering three shutout innings and allowing just one hit.

Despite some early challenges, Penn managed to pull ahead decisively late in the game. A series of strategic plays and timely hits helped them secure their victory over Columbia.

Penn will continue its campaign against Cornell on Saturday at 3 p.m., while Columbia faces off against Princeton earlier that day.
