The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) has announced the recipients of its Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2023-24 academic year. Among those honored is the University of Pennsylvania baseball team, recognized for its academic achievements.
The award celebrates college and high school baseball programs that have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. This year, nearly 350 high school teams and over 470 collegiate teams received this distinction.
Eligibility for the award requires that the team be either a high school or college program, with the head coach being an active ABCA member. Additionally, the team must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 for the academic year in question.
