The University of Pennsylvania baseball team is set to conclude its home non-conference schedule with a game against Saint Joseph's University on Wednesday. The matchup, initially postponed, will take place at 3 p.m. at Tommy Lasorda Field at Meiklejohn Stadium.

Penn enters the game following a challenging week, having lost three out of four games, including a series defeat to Cornell. Meanwhile, Saint Joseph's recently dropped two of three games against Rhode Island after securing a series win over Saint Louis.

The Quakers have struggled in recent non-conference matchups, losing their last two games and holding an 8-11 record in such contests this season. In their most recent Ivy League action, Penn managed one victory in a three-game series against Cornell.

Wyatt Henseler continues to be a standout player for Penn. "On Saturday, his RBI double put him in an exclusive category," making him the third player in program history to join the 200-hit club. He is also close to breaking records for career doubles and hits within the program.

Statistically, Penn ranks second in the Ivy League for batting average and leads in several categories including hits and on-base percentage. Individually, Henseler leads the league in OPS and home runs among other statistics.

For pitching, Penn's staff has allowed nearly seven runs per game this season. Relievers Carson Ozmer and Eli Trop have been notable performers from the bullpen.

Saint Joseph's holds a record of 13-18 overall this season with key contributions from players like Conlan Wall and Ryan Weingartner leading their offensive efforts. Their pitching staff has allowed an average of 6.56 runs per game.

Historically, Penn has had success against Saint Joseph's with a slight edge in their all-time series since it began in 1947.
