Wyatt Henseler's hit brought him to 201 career hits, surpassing Sean Phelan for second place in program history. He also led the team's offense over four games with a .500 average, including two home runs and six RBIs.
Cornell started strong with a four-run first inning. Penn responded with three runs by the end of the second inning. The Quakers briefly took the lead in the sixth inning after scoring six runs but couldn't hold it as Cornell regained control in the eighth inning.
Caden Wildman delivered a crucial bases-clearing double for Cornell, giving them a decisive lead that they maintained until the end of the game.
Penn will next face Saint Joseph's at home on Wednesday as they conclude non-conference play.
