The University of Pennsylvania baseball team concluded the regular season with a series win over Dartmouth, securing three out of four games. This achievement led to a clean sweep of the Ivy League's weekly awards. Davis Baker was recognized as Player of the Week, Ryan Dromboski earned Pitcher of the Week, and Nick Spaventa received Rookie of the Week honors.
Baker, receiving his second Player of the Week award this year, delivered an impressive performance. Over four games, he hit .474 with nine hits in 19 at-bats, including three home runs and two grand slams. He also accumulated 14 RBIs and scored seven runs.
Dromboski contributed significantly with his third consecutive victory in a crucial game against Dartmouth. In seven innings, he allowed one unearned run on six hits while striking out 11 batters without issuing any walks.
Spaventa returned to form by hitting .412 for the week with two home runs and nine RBIs. He demonstrated solid defense at first base with 18 putouts and no errors.
The Quakers finished their regular season with a record of 20-22 overall and 11-10 in Ivy League play. Their postseason chances remain intact as they hold tiebreakers over Harvard and Yale.
The upcoming Ivy League Tournament will take place from May 17-20 in New York City, hosted by Columbia.
