The University of Pennsylvania baseball team concluded its non-conference schedule with a decisive 13-1 victory over Delaware State on Tuesday at Bob Reed Field. Senior Justin Neskie played a pivotal role, hitting two home runs for the Quakers.

Pennsylvania's win improved their record to 18-21, while Delaware State fell to 14-22, marking their fifth consecutive loss. The Quakers remain undefeated against Delaware State, holding a 4-0 all-time record.

Neskie's performance was notable as he has only hit home runs in his career. This season, he is batting .429 with three home runs and six RBIs. His slugging percentage stands at an impressive 1.714.

The pitching staff of Will Tobin, Andrew Miehe, Marty Coyne, Edward Sarti, Anthoni Kiafoulis, and Marshall Mott combined efforts to allow just one hit during the game. Tobin earned the win by pitching three perfect innings in his second start of the year.

Several Penn players had multi-hit games, including Wyatt Henseler and Davis Baker. Henseler also tied the program's all-time lead with his 49th career double.

Penn scored its first two runs in the second inning with Neskie's two-run homer. The Quakers extended their lead in subsequent innings through strategic hits and walks.

The game saw eight Penn players drawing ten walks collectively. Anthoni Kiafoulis allowed Delaware State's only run after surrendering four consecutive free passes in the eighth inning.

Marshall Mott closed out the game by retiring three batters in succession during the final inning.

Penn will face Dartmouth next in an Ivy League series at Tommy Lasorda Field at Meiklejohn Stadium this weekend.
